As I understand it, before 2015, the net neutrality rules
were abided by for the most part(see my OP), but didn't actually have any regulatory penalties for not being neutral. in the two years that have gone by, I think we are at even more risk to believe a company won't throttle information access.
I just want data free flowing... I want my internet to be a dumb wire utility.... I dont mind paying different fees for speed tiers, but I do not want any possibility that a company can tamper with their algorithms and limit my access to information in any form. I'm not sure how that specifically plays into your monopoly discussion, but for the most part, utilities are all monopolies for probably most of the united states.
